Here's another one example of a Champion of national origins, with a history equal to the best in the world. In her pedigree up to the fourth generation, we don’t see a single foreign pigeon. But if we go into further generations they will appear, and as a matter of fact we have reason to believe that the Dirk van Dyck and the Gaby Vandenabeele old strains played a big role here.
However all credit related to this champion hen, both breeding and racing success goes to the owners Antonio Silva and Salvador Gama two longtime friends who occasionally exchange pigeons between them.
Brothers and sisters of the "Topo da Gama" are also champion racers at club, district and national level, especially in the District (Province) of Aveiro, the second largest in the country.
This is a line of pigeons that win in the two most competitive districts in the country, namely Porto and Aveiro, where only a few years ago, before Tereso destroyed the pigeon sport in this country, was normal to have liberations of 80.000 + pigeons competing.
The "Topo da Gama" is nothing less than the winner of the 1st prize against + - 70 000 pigeons in the most important annual race for the District of Porto, with the liberation site in Silves, Algarve at a distance of approximately 430 km.
However, this is not a one-time chance winning pigeon. That same year, in 2008 and without " doblagem" she won at Section level against + - 7.500 pigeons competing, in the short, middle, and short long distance, 6º, 9º, 41º, 42º, 54º, 73º, & 80º placed, this against a competition of between 7 500 and 10 000 pigeons, and was also several times first prize winner and clocked in the first 10 positions at club level competing against more than 1 000 pigeons.
Her Sister 6469434-07 won the 1º at 400 km, 1º at 350 km, 4º at 280 km, competing against several thousand pigeons.
Another brother 4048811-04 is the gold ring award winner, in the District (province) Champion of Aveiro, in the short distance category, competing against more than 2 000 lofts, and the participation of 60 000 + pigeons in the 2006 racing season. This pigeon is owned by Mr. António Silva, of Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal.
The “Topo da Gama” is mother, grandmother and great grandmother to several Champions in the Iberian Province.

Aqui está mais um exemplo de um Campeão de origens nacionais com um palmarés igual ao melhor a nível mundial.
No seu pedigree até á quarta geração não consta um único pombo de origem estrangeira, embora tenhamos motivos para acreditar que as linhagens Gaby Vandenabeele e Dirk van Dick tiveram muito a ver com os seus progenitores.
No entanto todo o mérito relacionado com a sua reprodução e êxitos desportivos vai para os Senhores Antonio Silva e Salvador Gama dois amigos de longa data que ocasionalmente trocam pombos entre si.
Irmãos da “Topo da Gama” são também campeões a nível distrital, no distrito de Aveiro. Esta é uma linha de pombos que ganham nos dois mais competitivos distritos do país. Aveiro e Porto.
A “Topo da Gama” é a vencedora do 1º prémio contra + - 70 mil pombos na prova anual, e a mais importante do Distrito do Porto denominada como Dia da Associação com solta em Algoz, no Algarve, a uma distância de aproximadamente 430 km.
Porem não se trata de uma vencedora por acaso. Esta no mesmo ano, em 2008, e sem “doblagem”, ganhou no Bloco contra + - 7.500 pombo em provas de velocidade, meio – fundo e fundo o 6º, 9º, 41º, 42º, 54º, 73º 80º assim como várias dezenas a nível de coletividade contra mais de 1.000 pombos encestados.
A irmã 6469434-07 venceu o 1º de 400 km, 1º de 350 km, 4º de 280 km.
Outro irmão 4048811-04 é o Pombo anilha de ouro de velocidade no distrito de Aveiro em 2006, propriedade do Sr. António Silva, de Mosteirõ Santa Maria da Feira.
A Topo da Gama é hoje Mãe, avó, bis e trisavó de dezenas de campeões e vencedores de primeiros prémios em toda a Península Ibérica.
